(June 24)--According to the latest news from the National Bureau of Statistics, China’s output of washing machines, refrigerators and air conditioners increased by 28.6%, 10.3% and 8.1% year-on-year respectively in May. Experts said that apart from washing machines that saw a faster growth rate, there have been difficulties in raising the output of air conditioners and refrigerators recently. As China exports its washing machines mainly to new emerging markets, the export growth rate for this commodity has remained high. By contrast, the growth rate of refrigerator exports has declined and manufacturers are facing serious production pressure. In terms of air conditioner exports, despite the lower than 10% growth rate, manufacturers managed to successfully adjust their production.
