TCL’s LCD TV Sales Surge in June

(July 18)--TCL Group published today its sales data for June, which shows that the company sold 386,756 LCD color televisions on the global market in June 2008, soaring by 349.8% year-on-year and with the growth rate exceeding the market average. The Group said that despite the optimization and improvement of its color television structure in the month, the sales of its CRT color televisions dropped to 778,792 units, with the reduction rate approaching the industry’s average. Meanwhile, the company sold 28,966 units of washing machines in June, increasing by 108.6% year-on-year.
